Senior Pastor

Pastor Isaac Tyson grew up in a pastor’s home in Sparta, Michigan and accepted Christ as his Savior as a child. He served in the Marine Corps Infantry Reserves for six years, during which time he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Ferris State University. Pastor Isaac married his wife Misty in 2010. After completing his education, he was hired by the State of Michigan as a Conservation Officer. He was stationed in Branch County, Michigan, where they began to attend Calvary Baptist Church.

In 2016, God called Pastor Isaac into full-time gospel ministry. After much prayer and counsel, he quit his job with the Michigan DNR and moved to South Carolina to attend Bob Jones Seminary; earning his Masters of Divinity degree in May of 2021. He returned to Calvary for a one-year internship, after which he was voted on as Associate Pastor in July of 2022. In September of 2023, he became the Senior Pastor. In his free time, Pastor Isaac enjoys hunting, fishing and archery. Pastor Isaac and Misty have one son.

Youth Pastor

Pastor Jeremy grew up in a family dedicated to following the Lord and attending church. Due to his parents being Sunday school parents, his curiosity peaked at the age of six years old when his question about salvation was answered by his father who led him to the Lord. After attending grade-school at Galesburg-Augusta High School, Pastor Jeremy went to Kalamazoo Valley Community College for one year to work on getting his degree in business management. After that year, the Lord led Pastor Jeremy to Maranatha Baptist University where, after two years, he got his certificate in Bible and Church Ministries. While at Marantha, he met and married his wife Mary in May of 2024. God laid on Pastor Jeremy’s heart to change course and become the youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Jeremy quit his job of eight years at Gull Lake Ministries and by the end of August of 2025, he was working with the teens at Calvary Baptist Church.
